Strike Organisers Union Threaten Walk Out, Over Complete Lack of Wages
MELBOURNE -- After a long discussion with different groups around Victoria, the Striker Organiser's Union has decided to walk off the job starting at midday today after a large group of pay disputes. "It's honestly a thankless job," says Michael McCrae, head of the SOU. "We've been working on these campaigns for weeks now and to have the word come through about our payment is devastating."
The SOU, formed in 1987, has been responsible for organising slogans, marches and food for workers who have become tired of their employment and limitations in the workforce. Andrea Trey, head of the catering section of the SOU, was stunned when she found out about the recent paycuts. "You'd think more people would fund something like the SOU, considering how much work we get every year. It's not like people can organise walking off the job on their own."
The SOU has asked The Straya to publish their demands, but hey, maybe we just don't feel like it and maybe our editor is a wanker who doesn't pay us properly. Fuck you, Tobey.
